Textiles & apparel

Textiles — apparel in particular — are a priority group under the 2025–2030 ESPR Working Plan adopted on 15 April 2025. The unsold-destruction ban was adopted on 9 February 2026 and begins applying to large companies on 19 July 2026. The full textiles delegated act is expected in early 2027.

Limiti u eżenzjonijiet

  • The destruction-of-unsold-goods ban applies to large companies from 19 July 2026 and to medium-sized companies from 19 July 2030; micro and small companies are exempt, subject to reporting.
  • SME-adapted DPP requirements are expected but not yet published.
