CIRPASS publishes v1 of the reference data model

CIRPASS has published version 1.0 of the horizontal DPP reference data model, following two years of drafts and a broad industry review. The package includes:

• A published JSON-LD @context under a versioned URL.
• Sector profiles for batteries and construction products.
• Draft profiles for textiles and electronics.
• A reference implementation and conformance test suite.

What this changes

Until now, early adopters had to choose between bespoke schemas and partial sector drafts. With v1, there is a stable horizontal model that will be cited by CEN-CENELEC JTC 24 and, via it, by the forthcoming delegated acts.

Foundation guidance

We recommend that any new DPP programme align to CIRPASS v1 from the outset. Programmes already in production should:

• Adopt the v1 @context URL in new DPP publications.
• Plan a migration for already-published DPPs within 12 months.
• Participate in the sector-profile working groups where your sector is in scope.
